My Simple Self Care Essentials as a Busy Mom
Self care can sometimes feel like it needs to be elaborate, time consuming, or something that only happens on special occasions.
But as a mom, I’ve learned that the kind of self care that actually sticks is simple, practical, and built into everyday life.
These are a few self care staples that go with me almost everywhere and help me stay energized, prepared, and feeling like myself throughout the day.
Nothing fancy — just simple things that make a big difference.

1. My Favorite Hydration Cup
Hydration sounds simple, but I notice a huge difference in how I feel when I stay on top of it. Having a cup I love makes it much easier to keep water nearby throughout the day. I rarely leave the house without it filled up and ready to go.
It’s a small habit, but one that helps with energy, focus and overall wellness.
Sometimes the simplest habits make the biggest difference.

2. Tennis Shoes That Go Everywhere
Whether I’m squeezing in a walk, running errands, or fitting in a quick workout, a good pair of shoes is a must. Having comfortable, supportive shoes makes it easy to stay active even during busy days.
Movement doesn’t always have to mean a full workout — sometimes it’s simply a walk outside, playing with the kids or moving my body for a few minutes. But having the right shoes ready makes that much easier.

3. My Daily Greens + Energy Duo
This daily combo has become a staple in my routine. The greens help support digestion, curb cravings, and support overall wellness, while the fizz gives me a steady boost of energy without the crash. It’s an easy way to support my energy levels and feel my best during busy mom days.

4. A Lightweight Everyday Moisturizer
If I could only bring one skincare product with me, it would probably be a simple moisturizer. I love something that feels light but still deeply hydrating, especially during busy days when my skincare routine needs to be quick and simple.
Keeping skin hydrated is one of those little things that helps me feel more put together, even on low-maintenance days.

5. Simple Everyday Jewelry
One of the easiest ways I fill my cup each day is simply getting ready for the day, even if it’s something small. Even if I’m wearing comfy clothes and no makeup, putting on a few simple pieces of jewelry helps me feel more like myself. Some of my everyday staples are:
bracelets from BaubleBar
bracelets from Little Words Project
my necklace from Tiny Tags
It’s a small habit that instantly makes me feel more put together.

6. Always Having Snacks Ready
This one might sound funny… but it’s real life. No one wants to see me hangry. Having healthier snacks ready to go helps me stay energized and avoid grabbing whatever is easiest when I’m out and about.
A little preparation goes a long way here.
My go to's are always high protein. I especially love Chomps, Barebell and built protein bars and Arbonne Essential Meal protein.
A Simple Reminder About Self Care
Self care doesn’t have to be complicated or time consuming. Sometimes it’s simply being intentional about small habits that support your energy, your wellness, and your mindset. Even as moms, when we spend so much time filling everyone else’s cup, it’s important to remember to put ourselves on that list too.
Those small daily basics really can make a big difference.
